ABOUT
ACADEMY

cart-01Tharindu Perera the head of Ceylon Cricket Academy has been involved in first class cricket in Sri Lanka and as a county player and coach in the UK for many years. He currently coaches the under 10’s and under 12’s Yorkshire teams as well as the under 11’s Wakefield and Kirklees district team. Tharindu has just about seen it all when comes to coaching and developing cricket skills. He takes each child as an individual and gives them bespoke coaching so each child fulfils their own potential, whether they want to play cricket for fun or to play for Yorkshire.

Tharindu’s cricketing experience has given him the opportunity to play with and against some of the very best in the game – as well as some of the great coaches at work (and some of the not so great coaches!) He knows what works and how to get the best out of each player by correcting their game and giving them new and better techniques and strategies.

About Me

about-me

My name is Tharindu Perera and I played first-class cricket with the Singhalese sports club (SSC) in Sri Lanka under the captaincy of Marvan Atapattu and Mahela Jayawardene, former captains of the Sri Lankan national cricket team.

I have been involved in cricket from a very young age.   As a boy growing up in Sri Lanka I lived and breathed cricket.  Working my way up the ranks my dream was to play professionally. I have played with the very best cricketers and I have also received coaching from the best coaches out there.
I know what works.
